When do I actually need a panel upgrade?
If your panel is 100A or less and you're adding an EV, heat pump, induction range, or hot tub, it's time. Federal Pacific or Zinsco panels should be replaced regardless — both have a recall history.
How much is a typical EV charger install?
For a 50-amp Level 2 install on a panel with capacity and a short run, $850–$1,400. Longer runs, panel upgrades, or load-management add-ons get factored upfront — never as surprises.
Do you pull permits?
Always. Unpermitted electrical work is a liability when you sell the house. Permit fees are itemized on every quote.
Are your techs licensed and insured?
Master-licensed shop owner, journeyman-licensed techs, $2M liability + workers' comp. We send a certificate of insurance the day of your install.
What's the workmanship warranty?
Two years on labor for all installations. Parts carry manufacturer warranties (typically 1–10 years depending on the product).
